Illaoi needs changes. Not another "crying" topic...
Yes, Im Illaoi main. U can think this is a next topic like "Buff my main Ritoooo hurr durr". But it's not exactly as u think. Let me explain u.
Not a rework, not a numbers (cuz her dmg, hp, lifesteal is quite balanced), but some mechanics in her skills set. She is by far one of easiest champs to beat, to conter, to make her totally weak. Illaoi is only strong when u let her; when she is playing against braindeads (So thats why im playing her, lel). But if an enemy is a bit smart, he just know the shit about Illaoi. If she don't stomp early game rly hard, she will be usless after 30 minute. Anyway she get weaker in late game, even if feeded.
So, Illaoi weakness (which comes from her mechanics):
- Her strenght totally depends on her spawned tentacles -Q easy to dodge. Slow and u have indicator of it. -W easy to avoid (u see when it's ON) -E easy to dodge and miss. Slow (and long), small hitbox, and blocks on minions/wall -R easy to bait and leave area of this -When it comes to fight and u miss E (or cd) u are like 80% death -Tentacless are free farm for enemy -When enemy have good timing with destroying her tentacless, she have rly hard lane and duels -Weak against sustain champs -Small mana pool, and goes out of mana rly fast -If u want poke enemy a lot with Q/E, be sure u will be out of mana as i said above ^ -Heal only on champs
And the other weaknes, not so important (not so much about mechanics, but also about playstyle): -Really easy to kite (but it's not only her problem; Darius or Nasus have the same problem) -Easy to gank -0 cc (only if u "destroy" enemy soul with E). So u need spend like few seconds to slow an enemy. Worth (jk, sometimes it's realy helpfull to chase) -If enemy got some armor, it really makes her weaker. Illaoi is FULL ad. (same as a lot other champs, I know) -Sensitive to hard CC. I dont mean that she get hit by CC easy, but it rly hurts her. No heal, no combo, no burst.
But what about adventages? Well, there are some. Some.. -If lands E well, good and annoying for enemy poke -Passive from Q heal rly good if hits with multiple tentacles or tentacle hit few times
- Nice wave clear -Good against gap closers I would say that's all. Just compare disadventages to adventages.
Okay, I know, every champ have better and weaker sides, but Illaoi is just fucked up in this case. I don't want to give her mobility or smth, just change some things to makes her more...difficult to beat, laning? I don't know. Ofc good Illaoi will always know when she need to play safe and when she can rush, but imo it will be always like that - Good X champ> Good Illaoi.
Possible changes. Even 1 of those would be helpful for Priestess:
-U can't attack, target (or whatever) tentacle, when it's actually moving (attack). Exclude ur R.
-Q havn't hitbox indicator anymore
-E can't be blocked
-Destroyng tentacle dont give gold
-U can choose when/where to spawn tentacle (still near a wall)
-Heal on minions/monsters
-Delete or change Mana for something other (or even inscrease mana pool)
-Convert some dmg into magic dmg.
