Windowed Borderless not the same in new client

So, I think that the new client has made it so that the borderless option for the game just makes the actual game smaller, it used to be (for me at least) that I could have it fullscreen borderless and still be able to swipe between the different desktops on my computer. I am on a Mac so I can swipe between "desktops" that can have my browser in one, the game in the other, and I could just switch back and forth.

Just this patch - since I remember switching between screens yesterday before midseason patch dropped - is when it started happening. I just want to know, did Riot remove the windowed borderless option? Or just make it so that it makes the display smaller instead of being full screen.
