First off, I'm pumped. I've played 50+ games of the Gauntlet at Lvl 100, and we finally won. Nice job to the team at the link posted.

Here are a few tips for the last moments before it's all over:

Go Full AD Sion Sion

  • I constantly had the most kills on my team, getting to the much needed 20 kill milestone by myself in order to boost my teammates.
  • His passive scales with % Max HP of enemy hit and they tend to ignore him when he's closing in. Go full AD, no attack speed or lifesteal because it doesn't help as much. Then just die as often as you can when your lane partner is alive to defend turret after you're gone, and take out as many enemies as you can.
  • Stay away from Heimerdinger , his turrets will wreck you.
  • Get a lane partner who can wave clear and stun from a distance. The stun will help you chase when you're in passive, and the wave clear keeps minions from eating at your decaying health.
  • Take three turret hits right at the start then head to Gromp with very low health. Start him as soon as he appears - you'll die but your passive will get you the kill (and a baby blue golem if you're fast) and send you back to lane at Lvl 2 and some CS
  • I always start with one long sword. After Gromp I wait and get boots to make the chase easier.

Make sure your team has high DPS ADC (like Kog)

  • Once Teemo arrives the ADC needs to focus on him. Your job, if you play Sion, is to peel off the bots from the ADC and kill them, allowing your ADC to keep hitting Teemo. I wasn't even close to winning until I duo'd with a great KogMaw, so make it happen.

No melee champs

  • Seriously, they can't get close enough most of the time and if they do they just get bursted down. Sion is the only exception.

Long range w/ high damage champs are best

  • Velkoz always had fantastic results, and we won with him. Ziggs , Veigar , and Annie are also great.
  • Stay away from champs like Karthus Rumble Soraka Thresh Taric - you don't play support or tank in this, you just go for the power. Even with top tank stats, you'll die way too fast to be any good.
  • Exception being Janna, whom I forgot until Mysticman89 pointed out and reminded me, has great wave clear and a nice buff for the DPS in end game.

General Tips

  • Take summoner 12 to stall the bots as they're attacking minions as much as you can.
  • Take summoner 11 to drop big minions and camps fast - they will wreck your towers.
  • Every other summoner spell is a waste. You can't flash far enough, your shield isn't strong enough, ghost isn't fast enough, ignite does little to no damage. Get the spells that help you stall without putting your life at risk - TP and Smite.
  • This is kind of a game of attrition - focus on farming and living until Teemo arrives because that's the only fight that really matters. Everything before Teemo is like Riot is giving you a chance to farm up for the boss fight, so use your time wisely and farm up the entire 15 minutes.
  • Don't push out lanes far. If there's a big wave, clear it then get back to the team. Note: Sion should never be clearing waves, let the team do that. Sion just stays in battle to get more kills.
  • Get the buffs before you go to lane. Lane CS sucks and if you can go to lane with a buff and lvl 2 right from the start, you'll have a better start.
  • item 3512 seems like a nice item for someone to grab to keep the other lanes pushed out once Teemo arrives, but no one in my last game got it, so I don't really know if it's worth it.
  • Finally - make sure your mid tower goes down second. This puts the bots in either the top or bot lane for a majority of the first 15 minutes, which means that when Teemo arrives your mid lane will be stronger to hold him back. Just keep them off the inhib until Teemo arrives, and your mid lane should stay strong.

Good luck!!!

Jannas pretty godlike in this mode for what it's worth as someone who has also beaten 100 doombots. (And happens to be a janna main.)

Q max lets her clear waves from undertower, bots are dumb so half the time they'll get poked down in the process too. E max second to keep towers from falling pretty reliably, and later on to shield your dps vs teemo. I prioritise Q and E leveling over even ult which isn't very useful in 100 doombot imo.

Thanks! I didn't think Vel would be a good option, but I need to try him out!
