guide on climbing ranked

You should always have a partner duo with you. This is for two reasons

  1. it places you in slightly higher ranked matches
  2. you have a player with you that is as good or slightly better.

In both situations, this would mean you are less likly to get a clown in your group. In fact, by being a duo, you are 20% less likely to have a clown in your group. This means there are only 3 slots where you may have a clown join, compared to enemy team, who has 5 slots.

The higher the rank you are,the less likely you are to run into clowns in your games. Trust me when I say that being a duo always helps.

My suggestion to climb in ranked is just to wait about 2 more weeks and then start getting high and stacking item 3031 on Garen with summoner 3 summoner 6

I have had the opposite experience a lot of the time, actually. When I duo I get more 'difficult' teammates than usual.

Hard disagree on this, too. There are just as many clowns in platinum as there were in silver. My diamond friends all share this sentiment as well.

Just thought I'd correct your math for you.

Using your logic, if you had a duo, your odds of having a clown would go down 25%, not 20%. You are queuing with 4 other players, after all, so numerically speaking your odds are 4/100, not 5/100. Unless, of course, you are counting yourself as a clown. Because then you're probably the one holding your teams and your duo partner down, and therefore your entire "guide" falls apart.

If you want to climb, do a bit more learning about the game. It's got a lot of numbers. I know they're scary. But if you learn them, maybe you'll do a bit better too.
