Riot's 10 Ban System is a Stroke of Hidden Genius

When you realize that now with how the ban system is setup, you have to hover your champion pick, otherwise you risk a teammate banning it -- especially if it's yasuo, fizz, fiora, etc.

This now effortlessly creates a subtle and unspoken "pick intent communication" for off-meta players in pre-game lobbies.

Nice, Riot!

Last week 10 bans was trash. This week 10 bans is genius. League boards whyyyyyyyyyyyy

(Not saying you said that... Just that League boards in general are funny like that)

They don't give enough time to declare a champion though

In before your intended pick gets banned anyways.

who cares? as long as every cancer champ is picked for banning ... it will be OK

I fully admit that it is a stroke of genius. That doesn't mean I have to love it. But I do admit that I see the brilliance, even if it's not my fave.

Surely people 'had' to hover to avoid getting banned by their teammates in the 6 ban system too? Sure theres up to 2 more potential people to ban away your champ, but I feel like with yas and friends teammates will probably ban them anyway, or one of the opposing 5 players will do it, especially because they can't see and hence rely on enemy team ban.

And if your off-meta pick isn't one of the top dozen or so bans, theres not really any further incentive to hover it.

I mean, people should hover their pick intents, but I'm not really sold on this making it significantly more required.
