How to make good decisions with Zed...

Here's a basic check-list that I go through mentally before every fight:

Where is the enemy jungler? What's stopping me from getting this kill? Could it be a bait? What will I lose by taking this kill? (summs, CS, etc.) Is my team near enough to help me if it turns bad? Has said team been reliable so far in the game?

After this check-list if I still think it's a good idea, I engage. While engaging I try to think about what I can take off this kill/fight. Usually if it's just a mid lane kill, I can either roam or take the turret. If it's a bot gank, usually I know I can take drag with help from bot lane. If it's a team fight usually we can take turrets or baron.
