Dissappearing kills and assists

I noticed in the game here and there that for example I'll have 8/3/12 stats K/D/A ratio and sometimes when i die my stats change to something like 3/3/8. why do the stats chance for the kill/assist/death in the middle of games? this has happened a few times now and others had experienced the same thing when i asked.
