Veteran Player rant

Unimportant venting? Unimportant venting. (It is very cathartic, after all.) I don't even know If I'm posting in the right place, I feel old. :(

Well, where to begin...I guess I'll begin by saying that I have been playing League of Legends for a very long time as a sort of 'pub star' (strokin' muh epeen mhmm feels good man) Back in open beta where I had never ever touched a Moba before, back when you stacked Madred's Bloodrazers on Warwick and I was dumb enough to buy the Blue Cho'Gath skin with real money.

I've never really felt invested in the ranked system- I have a few thousand normal games played however, so I'm not particularly skillfull per-say but my overall champion experience can help carry games...which leads me to why I'm posting here after trying to return to League from a long hiatus (Thanks for running WoW into the ground Blizzard you scummy charlatans!)

This game keeps mutating faster than Bosmer wood elves during a Wild Hunt. I come back and so many champions that I've had LITERAL years to accumulate experience with just...get ripped inside out and become something totally different, I'm a bit miffed even more because I dropped real cash into say...several Ryze skins and then you just change EVERYTHING. i've played this game too damn long to relearn everything from the ground up. I don't keep up with the Esport scene because hurr durr 90's kidz I'd rather play the game than WATCH someone else do it for me!

Any time I'm staring at the champion select screen and click on a familiar yet unique face, I'm greeted with the unfortunate reality that it is very far removed from why I originally loved the champion (Often times the 'rework' is just bland boring generic skills that only appeal to the 'Pros' competing for money...so they need everything tight and rigid and mathematically sound)

So here I am, played a few arams and I'm ready to quit League again- these new "plant" things in Season 7 don't sound very fun either- How about we fix what's broken before added more junk onto the pile. Thanks.

TLDR: If you want old players to stick around, leave a little consistency please...mastering a champ just to have it morph into a new one next season is not a good incentive to git gud.

Thanks for reading, whoever you are.

some changes every season... are okay but they always completely overhaul... everything...

Forces you to try new role, champions, builds, masteries, etc... meanwhile some of your old methods become no longer viable and champions unplayable. Learn a whole new map, jungle, and a bunch of new mechanics...

Constantly introduce new champions and map features. Constantly do minor tweaks by having small patches.

I mean there are changes that players can tolerate and learn. And there are changes that players find hard to adapt to...

Look what they've done since season 3.

Nobody plays Gragas anymore because of his ult timing and he's now useless. Zed was banned for longer than half a year this season... I was a main Riven was nerfed to the ground and now... Lee sin nerfed so hard since Season 3. Now top tier. Added cooldown to Ahri ult and people didn't play her so she was buffed I remember Jayce being nerfed with his E cooldown. Now he's top of the food chain without receiving any buffs?? Blits slows himself on W now. Reworked a bunch of champions Add more champions that don't really bring anything unique but have overloaded kits... like that new champion on a lizard??? wtf is he suppose to be/do??? Taliyah? Blue dragon??

The days of good old DFG, the better botrk, not having to worry about these support items...

sigh...

the list goes on.

And at the end of every season I feel like quitting
