I still don't buy Riot's reasoning for not reverting the Kog'maw W/Q AS changes

Riot's reasoning is that they moved Kog'maw's attack speed scaling to W to make Kog'maw into a more coherent, healthier champion and they're nerfing his base attack speed around this because they feel it will put him in a better spot in the end.

But Kog'maw's W is now 90% of his power budget. His ult is pretty underwhelming, his Q has become a "none and done" skill, his passive is a nice bonus at best, his E is the only other noteworthy skill that fits into his kit and playstyle.

This causes him to scale SO HARD with early levels that his power in the game pretty much peaks at one finished item and level 9 because W is maxed and Guinsoo's is like 5x more powerful on Kog than any other item he would consider building, champions start to catch up to him AFTER that point instead of him waiting until late game to carry.

In the last patch Riot made Kog'maw into a champion who's power peaks early in the game and then falls off, and now they're applying a nerf that hits him at all stages of the game, meaning his late game for a champion that's supposed to have an amazing late game is going to drop from disappointing to bad.
