Why don't ADC's run exhaust over heal?

I'd rather have a 40% dmg. reduction for 2.5 seconds than a measly heal, am I wrong in this thinking?

First of all Heal/Barrier can be cast whenever, for exhaust you have to get closer -> negative

On top of that Heal offers movement speed that makes kiting and repositioning easier

Heal also gives you a MS boost to which, if you're getting chased and you're an ADC with no mobility, helps. Yes, you can also run with Exhaust when you're getting chased, but if you're getting chased by more than one person, a single target slow isn't gonna do much.

And also because supports usually take Exhaust. It's like they have each other's backs. Usually ADCs with no mobility at least (let's say) have a slow, the support usually has heals (traditionally) and now has a slow/CC. The ADC has CC and now a heal (traditionally).

But with different supportive types of champions (as well as different ADC types) you can essentially run whatever works for you. It's like how Ignite is more useful on supports like Thresh since he has enough CC.

All in all, it's up to whatever works for you. Just make sure you have enough "defensive" capabilities to keep yourself alive when stuff hits the fan and you'll be all good.

Longer ranged adcs can have trouble casting it from so far back. It's good as an anti-assassin dive tool though if you can get it off before they burst you.

Because exaust doesnt let you tower dive and get out alive.

All valid points! I guess I'm just having trouble finding supports who know when and where to use it, so I run it myself. Plus I'm a Vayne main so I'll 1v1 anyone and it just helps exponentially on dives, I believe I can 1v1 anyone with exhaust.
