Hybrid runepage

So last season I had a decent amount of strength with the following runepage:

ad reds

armor yellows

ap blues

attack speed quints

on champs like thresh, tf, teemo, ez, jax, xin, and yi, most of the aa reliant(I build a/s tf) who can use both ap and ad, and do decently well with attack speed. I was wondering, though, why I rarely see pros take these types of pages on these champs. Is it really losing out, or is this a viable option?
