I think it's time to make some positive feedback for Riot.

I've been seeing a shit load of complaints recently. These complaints are reasonable, and I won't try to touch those in this thread. However, there are a lot of improvements a lot of people don't see as well, so I will try to make the board a more balanced place that is not filled with negative complaints. It's important to let Riot know what they have done well, and they can learn from NOT ONLY from the mistakes, but also the achievements.

Here are some nice actions that Riot has done lately, and noticeable in my opinion.

  1. item 3708 item 3709 got removed from lanes.
  2. Ult and summon spells cooldown indicators
  3. A fantastic new lore
  4. Removed Kalista's bonus hopping distance
  5. A very balanced new champion TahmKench

Of course there are some not listed, and there are still a lot of stupid mistakes that Riot should fix. I just want people to understand, Riot DOES listen to us, they are just slow to react.

TL:DR. Keep complaining, but don't forget praising sometimes make them understand what work.

Probably preaching to the choir. I don't think many people (let alone on these boards!) understand the fundamentals of giving feedback. They'll say that they are giving feedback (and it's sorta true!), and it'll be nigh impossible to let people realise that if you accentuate what's being done well, it'll let the other(s) know what you do want to see.

Put succinctly:

  1. Telling people what you do like in their work expands their options and gives them insight into which direction to work in
  2. Telling people what you don't like in their work closes off options and doesn't give additional insights into what direction to work in

It's totally OK to do number 2, but you have to add in a fair dose of 1 to properly guide development in the direction you like it.

But I don't like any of it, throw it all out.

That's not constructive criticism.

I don't kiss a company's ass for the sake of kissing a company's ass.

If people are complaining, then it all falls to the company to reflect on what caused the complaints and then learn how to resolve them. If they keep screwing up, it's their own fault.
