Okay, so a few games ago I got destroyed by an AP Soraka top. I was playing Gnar and whenever I went in she would chunk me down. Even flashed killed me for first blood. So, I gotta know. Is AP Soraka a counter to Gnar or am I just bad? I'm in bronze mind you.

Since Rito has hampered 3rd party sites from giving us break downs of games, I am left guessing as to which game it was - I can't even check the builds or confirm the Soraka player's name. All I can deduce at this time is that it was probably a normal game - based on what I can glean from your playing records.
Based on this limited information, I am left to deduce that the Soraka was probably using the troll hybrid AD/AP build (start with AD runes and then build using AP-ish items) - it's a build that has been popping up on Youtube and 3rd party forums recently. And yes, it is a build that can carry - but only in the right hands and in the right situation.
