"You played a different position than you were assigned. You earned LP for the position you played. Frequent position trading could lead to deactivation of positional matchmaking."

So...while I understand this might have been with good intent. It completely ruins when you lane swap on purpose. You're forcing us into a single meta and not allowing ranked meta to evolve.

For instance. I just played a game where our team was Lux (me), Darius(Top), Miss Fortune(Bot), Kharma(Support) and Warwick(Jungle). Obvious lanes right? The other team was Nasus(Top), Ezreal(Bot), Yasuo(Mid), Kayne(Jungle), Shen(Support). However, right as soon as the game started Me and Darius talked about lane swapping. Darius would be just as strong vs Yasuo, and I would be able to freely harass Nasus top.

What happened? 8 minutes in I was 3/0 top and Darius was 2/0 mid. Great, we snowballed the game and won. However...I basically got penalized for working with my team and swapping lanes to get a victory.

What happens when the meta rotates back to having ADC and Support go top and complete the whole 1v2. I think Riot will stop meta from adapting with these restrictions in ranked play.

(Before people flame. I know this is probably meant to stop people queing as MID and forcing themselves TOP. But this just enraged me and the top laner, as both of us didn't know we would be penalized for this.)

Riot, Community, thoughts?
