League isn't what it used to be

I know this is a constantly repeated title and a feeling each season by the majority of players, and while for some it becomes a trend saying or cliche i personally believe that it's more true than ever this season.

Little background about me: I started at the second half of season 6 in eune, mained adc then one tricked zilean support into top and finally settled on jungle/support. I finished in silver in season 7 nearly gold and moved to euw in s8 managing to hit gold on multiple accounts, returning to eune on season 9 ( mainly due to ping difference ) hitting plat on eune and gold on few accounts in euw.

Personally back in season 6, the game felt somewhat chaotic and everything was all over the place, Vayne cait and Jhin were standard, kog and lulu were at their peak.. varus was playable mid and adcs while strong werent too broken. Assassins dominated midlane while few mages occasionally stoodtheir grounds, jg was all about carrying with some supportive/tanks. Malphite, alistar were playable in the jungle, all support classes were just fine and supports had a lot of choices with their items. Top was versatile . Sure Assassins were a pain in the ass ( Keep in mind i mained adc at the time) but frankly at the time it was just ok. Every role had a carry potential and every role could actively participate in something, options were many, champs were strong but other than yasuo and few others u wouldn't find billion dash champs. Sure irellia and akali existed as well as yasuo but a much healthy version of the first two as an example along with other champions. In short it was fun and messy, a game.

Fast forward to season 7, junglers are mainly tanks.. jungle xp and gold was nerfed so harshly that supports can be ahead of junglers sometimes. adcs were still pretty fine, some new adcs were added and new playstyles emerged which was fine. Ardent mess was introduced and supports became mainly shielding sluts.. mid and top had their own shit.

Fast forward to season 8, bot got messy with mages and bruisers but quite frankly (i know a lot of you adc mains will disagree) It was pretty fine. Each role as diversity of classes and playstyles, jg has mages, tanks, bruisers, assassins, supports.
Supports have enchanters, tanks, damage. Top has ranged, bullies, tanks, bruisers... mid has control mages, lane bullies, assassins, etc.. In meantime, while adcs have different abilities and playstyles the main mechanic of most adcs is kiting, once you grasp that the transition from an adc to another is understanding their kit and their playstyles. So imo i think that the introduction to new classes being sent bot was fine but the community overacted. While bot had it's own chaos every other role had it's options limited and set to stone, your entire gameplay and style is forced upon few things if you really want to climb that ladder without too much difficulty. Season 9 started with junglers being perma gank, mid being broken, supports having some options but still narrowed and top officially turning into the land of cancer... and currently adcs are leading in strength followed by mages which, according to riot, will remain the case for a while. The game is turning to a game of chess rather than a real game, in order to get anywhere you need massive dedication to learn the mechanics of new champions and the old ones can hardly keep up anymore, esports are not interesting anymore, the orb loot farming system is too grindy as well as the blue essence system, and the major focus of the game is really just Esports, sure they contact the content makers and support them more but that can only get you so far.. League is trying too hard to gain recognition as something serious and forgetting the main point, it's a game, games are supposed to be fun, don't neglect your casual players... I struggle to qeue up for a game and debate if it's worth it to waste my time every game in.
