Morgana = autolose

Lol morg is a great champ with loads of utility. What are you grouching at?

Morgana is probably one of the safest Support picks you can make. There's no real counter to her existence. If you are playing support and you have the poor luck of being first pick for your team, Morgana is possibly the best choice you can make. She brings decent damage and deadly utility.

The only issue you might have here is if your team decides to not play any tanks. You can build Morgana as a RoA Tank. Instead of trying to make the flash+ult+zhonya's nonsense to work, a Frozen Heart, Warmog's, Abyssal Scepter, RoA Morgana can literally wade through the enemy and survive. I prefer going this route even if the team does have a tank and good initiation, because obvious tanks often get ignored in fights in favor of "squishies".

The problem I find with Support Morgana is when your team is losing so hard that there is no chance of getting to late game with her. Then you become a binding bot that unintentionally baits your desperate teammates into making 1v5 dives to kill the enemy you snared. Still, I do find Support Morgana to be more useful than other Utility Mid Support alternatives like Lux, Orianna or Karma. Lulu is probably the only worthy opponent, though she was actually designed to be a support.

But gathering from your remarks in other comments, it appears you have issues of your team not having a tanky initiator for the mid game. This really isn't an issue with Morgana, but your team's decisions in picking champions. The jungler/top/support roles need to think about this when picking their champions. Does our team have reliable initiation? Does our team need hard CC? Pay attention to each other's pick intents and be prepared to change accordingly, because you can't expect your Mid/Bot roles to do those things.

Morgana is one of the best supports in the game. Tank supports are popular in the meta, but a good ranged support can win lane early. I will say though, in low Elo, if she makes a mistake in the lane, laning can go down hill fast. But in general you can say that with ALL mage supports. They offer range and high utility for harass. Tank supports offer better early engage and are less skill shot dependent. I prefer playing range supports like and because they can operate more autonomously from their ADC. Tank supports and ADCs have to be on right page for their engage or they will die.

Wasn't it last season Morgana was banned every game by pros because they HATED black shield. It may be one of the best abilities in the game.
