Almost all LoL players have alt accounts. It's better to be a smurf than to be a troll though.

I get what you mean, but this thread is confusing. Riot does not frown upon smurfing, but they have methods of separating the smurfs from non smurfs, this doesn't mean you won't ever play against one though.

it not bad or good. some people make smurf to play with friends who are low level. Some people just make smurf to make money, to make it in to gold or plat and then sell it. so people can buy and say hey look i'm in gold ect, Or the trolls were they just make smurf to just f**k around in match.

They are neutral. They won't punish a person for smurfing, and they don't encourage it. They will however punish if you act like an asshole to new players ._.

So if someone were to brag about smurfing in your game and they made you lose your series you worked so hard for, is a report viable?

They neither condone nor condemn it, it's just a matter of what the account does.

Boosting isn't allowed, so if one makes a smurf account to boost, then that'd lead to action being taken. If it's just an alt account someone makes to 'escape' from their main account, then that's fine. If it's a alt account to show new players the game (without actually boosting them) on a low mmr account, then that's probably even viewed as a positive thing.

yes, riot said they never want to see another doublelift in bronze 5 video ever again.

Well all smurfing does it makes it harder for them to actually make adjustments to the match making system.. Then people get butthurt on why they are silver and having to play against someone who is diamond tier.

No...? Why do you ask?
