Inventory Use Issues

Since about 3 patches ago, I haven't been able to use inventory items with my mouse. When I play support, I have my most important items (redemption, locker, face of the mountain, etc) on my standard hot keys, so I would just use my mouse to place wards. A few patches ago all of my settings got reset, I had quick cast turned off, things like that. Is there a setting to use inventory items with your mouse that I am just missing?
