Every time I spawn her plants and the enemy champion is near it, the plants focuses on minions over enemy champion.
I'd have to auto the enemy champion for the plants to focus who it's supposed to be attacking the moment it spawns.
Was this intentionally made so that Zyra isn't overwhelming against the enemy champion with plant spawns?
Yes, people kept whining about how oppresive she is when they thought, oh snap a plant is up near my wave? Guess I'll just stand back/in for 7 whole secs of getting attacked when all they had to do was walk out of it's range and walk back in as it spits at your minions, basically if you want your plant to do attack, you have to land autos, and skillshots, + no other attackble entity around and pretty much guttered her w, they are so piss poor easy to kill now.
Zyra's plants will only attack a champ if you target them with your auto attacks. Or if they are they are the only target in range of the plant.
I believe if you hit the ability that spawns them they will focus the enemy champion you hit.
They changed targeting during the middle of last year. SO yes, like others have said, her plants target champs if they got hit by the Q or E or if you auto them. Autoing a diff target will change it.
ALSO, the plants themselves were changed about a month ago...kinda under the radar. They last longer on their own and to minion fire, but can be taken down quicker by champs (melees can 1-hit them).
