Is Annie Viable in Higher Elo? Should I Main her to Diamond?

So Annie is my first champion, first main, and first love in League I ever played. Problem is I got a bit bored of her and stopped playing her, also cause people told me she has no skill, or that she isint good in higher elo.

Is this true and should I play something else, or stick with Annie?
