How long it takes to get ban as cheater?

I'm asking people who actually did it. I rather not create a new account, and start testing. (ruining a bunch of games in the proccess) Don't misunderstand. I don't care for the source of the cheat, or the cheat itself. I'm just interest what it did, and whether he got banned or not, and if yes, then how long it took.
