So...Leblanc?

Leblanc i don't much like the change that was done to her, or rather, the revert. No one is talking about it but i'd like to get more opinions on the matter. i personaly think her old passive is very useless and with the removal of her reworked ultimate she lost a full skill, the Shadow of the Rose. i started playing League recently, around 5-ish months so i'm not a veteran player and when i started playing, LeBlanc already had her rework so her old kit was very unknown to me. It'll take a bit of getting used to and i think i can adapt, but that is not the issue i'm getting at...its just literally the fact i don't think this change back was necessary is all. It did take me a while to get used to her, she has a very steep learning curve, and this change seems to make her EVEN harder to use properly. Anyways this is just my opinion, but i would like to hear more thoughts on the matter from other players familiar with her. Leblanc

This is basically the LB from before.

It's a much more enjoyable playstyle. She's far more fluid, and her gameplay choices are much more limited so she can't open with W, drop her combo, then W back and RW out.

It also allows you to burst in a much more reasonable timeframe so that you actually scale somewhat into the late-game.

On top of that it makes her pickable into assassins which is really nice.

I'd like to have her RR staying (you know, spawnig a clone anywhere on the map), but I'm glad they FINALLY reworked her. An assassin shouldn't stay in sight (and range) of someone for 2.5seconds in order to assassinate him. The other person won't just stand there watching her killing him

Reverted passive interrupts concentration mid-fight and half the time it pops when you least expect it to. Rework passive allowed some nice plays with its aoe capability.

Reverted ult is healthier than the rework one but the rework ult's clones were thematically more fitting than her old passive.

I wish her reverted passive would be a passive-active ability: dropping below hp threshold would make her next ability cast create the clone. This would give her options to time the clone better to her needs.

Definitely think this revert was a step back not only for LB but for Riot as a company. What is the reason to do champion updates if they will just end up being reverted? Dev time wasted.

Well I've played this champion since S3. I didn't completely hate the rework, but I think it was less healthy for the game. This may sound weird since she'd have to be extremely fed to not need her passive to oneshot people usually. While the new ult increased skill cap (sort of), it also removed counter play. Like if she never ulted, she could avoid ganks with r no matter what her last spell was. Now lies the skill of what order should she use her spells and which she wants to be ulted.

How you used to beat leblanc before the rework was to try and survive laning and out scale. One way to do this was to keep her pushed in. (Probably was the best way) Because she wouldn't even be able to roam. This is why lbs started to max w for clear over q's 1v1 damage. But even that isn't enough to match waveclear monsters like malz, taly, morg, azir, etc. They removed that weakness when she was giving this passive. And I feel like it just made her early game MORE oppressive than it already was. Now this reverted lb seems to not be nearly as strong as she was before so that maybe something you don't get. One q w was extremely punishing in lane.

I like this clone far more because you can control it. You can fool people fairly well with it once you learn how to control it and can be helpful. It's something that you'll learn to expect when you get bursted. I didn't like the ult clone because it was easy to tell it was fake most of the time and I used it often because I'd r r when I wanted r q a lot. Plus that second of invisibility feels really good to have.

I will say that as I learned reworked Leblanc, she became far more fun than I thought she would. I still prefer old Leblanc though. The ult feels smoother to use (though I do think that is more necessary on old Leblanc because she's in and out instead of kiting). I almost wouldn't mind having both in the game. But I do loving 100-0 in a second far more than having to sit next to a full build adc for 1.5 seconds. I will always hate that delayed burst lol. And I hate that I'm pretty much a split pusher late with my great waveclear. mobility, and bs gunblade healing.

Sorry this was so long lol. I probably could even talk more about it. I think this is a topic people will always have mixed feelings because old/new leblanc had very different play styles. (Amazing with nearly the same kit lol) So people who like the diving trying to get picks over the kiting of teamfights will like old and vice versa.
