Total overhauls are dumb

The MasterYi made sense, because he was better as a mage, yes our badass sword guy was just a mage. But none of his moves were completely erased, just changed to reflect what he is supposed to be. This is a rework done properly.

Updating a move is great too, changing some functions, like explosive shot on Tristana (E) is the only major thing that went into her rework

An overhaul is a total erasure of almost all things that made a champion what it is

I admit, I like playing the new Karma Sion and I will probably enjoy the new Poppy BUT why do I have to give up the older versions that have practically 0 overlap in function? I didn't play the old sion, but Poppy is my favorite champion. And I thoroughly enjoyed playing the original Karma - Why is riot forcing me to just give up my favorite champions?

Why can't we just have a new champion? I would love to see both incarnations of karma, and both Poppys. ESPECIALLY karma, there is about as much overlap between them as there is Jayce and Nidalee or Janna and Lulu

EDIT: Yes I am aware poppy ultimate had to go, but why did her identity have to go with it? Instead of the ultimate diver with some burst damage, we now have Janna in tank form with her massive peel and anti-assassin moves

riot has been saying they believe poppys kit was toxic and want to remove it for years

riot does want to remove what they see as toxic unbalancable kits
