Anyone else still annoyed by buffs in the bottom corner?

Seriously, I would like to have an easy way to know how long this Grievous Wounds buff lasts in a fight. Or my Graves attack speed. Or my Twitch stealth. Or when I stop healing myself on Elise. Or how long the enemy will have vision on me after stepping on that Nida/Cait trap.

But I can't - because Riot apparently thinks it's a good idea to randomly crump all those things into the bottom corner of the screen, a place where I will never be able to look at in a fight (or as long as anything goes on really), without me having a say in it whatsoever.

This is actually what annoys me most: That Riot feels the need to dictate, in a completely arbitrary manner, which buffs I am allowed to properly track and which not, regardless of my own preferences.

Meanwhile, after several months, I still haven't once looked at the center of the screen for my active items. and think they are a useless waste of space at a central place of the Interface.

Several possible ways to improve the current system:

  • Display only buffs without a timer in the bottom corner (Sunfire aura, Nasus/Veigar stacks, ARAM/Dominion buff etc.).
  • Give players the option to set a preferance for every buff/debuff to be displayed in the middle/bottom corner of the screen.
  • Move the active items to the bottom corner and display all buffs in the middle of the screen.
  • Give players the option to switch between a "smart" (current one) and a classic (old one with all buffs and no active items) buffbar

Either way, this "cherrypicking" of buffs that are "worthy" to be displayed at a place where I can actually see them has to stop. It's completely arbitrary and, in my opinion, horrible game design as long as it isn't done by the players themselves according to their preferences.
