Kalista's Ult Control

Is there a reason why Kalista doesn't fully control her own ult?

Speaking from the perspective of a support, it's extremely frustrating when she ults in the middle of a team fight. I'd much rather have had Kalista be in full charge of her ult, timing and direction, and just use me as her bowling ball.

Honestly, between skills, and support active items, the last thing I need to be worrying about is using someone else's ult properly.

I'm not a high elo player, as some people may point out, saying it's just a lack of my mechanical ability, but that is exactly why it shouldn't be up to the support. It's someone else's champion choice.

Well, one change is certain, the direction of the throwing shall not be simply just be a right click of the support's mouse! It shall be an ability! It is extremely frustrating when you are walking and suddenly got sucked in and mis-clicked the launching location.

That's fair enough, but then why not make it an option at least? Click on glowing Kalista to let her throw you. or something.

Thresh is really the only other champ currently in league with such an interactive kit, but his lantern is also optional.

Because then what happens if you're in a situation where you don't want to be thrown? Or if the Kalista makes a mistake and tosses you into one enemy when two more are waiting in the bush next to them? The situation would become reversed, with the supports complaining that they want to be able to choose where they think they should go.

Because tiny has proven that people should not be given the power to throw their allies in any direction on a whim

Because it makes for fun premade lanes.

More premade lanes = more potential friends = more potential customers for riot.

ie. Makin the game fun makes Riot money.
