Could Aatrox get a small QoL buff?

There have been many times where I'm playing Aatrox top lane, and along comes your friendly neighborhood to try and murder me. My passive is up, and while I'm low, I try to Dark Flight away, only to be killed before I jump and having my passive proc. I die, I don't move anywhere, and my Q still goes on cooldown. I always find it rather frustrating that, if I know I'm going to die, I have to wait until after my revival to jump, which burns my passive, or to try and jump away to save my passive for later, only to have it cancelled, and still burn my passive.

Thoughts?
