This happens every year, placements are supposed to place you in a lower division than you ended last year, that's how this has always worked.

There was obviously an issue with placements last season as I was master and got placed in gold 4. Then Riot realised the problem and fixed it. Everyone had to play 1 additional placement match after the fix, and I got placed to plat 1, which is the highest rank you can get after placement. People don't always complain for no reason, and Riot is not always right.

Has it? I once won 8/10 and got placed 5 divisions higher. I on't actually remember how long ago this was, but it happened.

The problem isn't that I was put lower, the problem is how abusive the system is. I don't get to play ranked often. Even lesse now than I used too. I used to climb from bronze to gold every year.. only to have to repeat it the next year, and the next... Now with even less time I only get as far as silver..

What's the point? My skill level and skill play was back in the day high gold or better, but due to time constraints I didn't have the time to climb past gold.

Is it really too much to ask for Riot to place me where I belong by skill level? rather than dumping me several spots lower than forcing me to re grind my way back up? What the fuck is the point of that? Why would i even rank, or play this game if thats what I get?

Yet what's the point of placements if it's already determined that you're going to put a division lower? I say, get rid of placements all together.

Kind of pointless to have placements if what you say is true or you have to go 10-0 to stay in the division you finished in last season.
