Today I have come to the realization of...

"Why play anything that the pros play?!"

Like seriously, name a champion that the pros picked up or consistently play that doesn't get nerfed.

Now name the last time you have seen someone like Lux or Annie get massive nerfs?

How about Garen. (I can't say this one seriously).

At least for Lux and Annie, we all know that there are Challenger players that use those champions to get to challenger.

Its honestly not even worth the headache anymore trying to learn these "difficult" champions.

The incentives in the past for picking up a difficult champion was that, in the right hands it was good, and as the game progressed they got stronger. But when they messed up so badly that champions can be at a 44% win rate and do terrible later in the game because you don't have team coordination. Just completely take away from the whole aesthetic of the characters.

TL;DR

Play someone like Malzahar, Annie, Lux, Morg, etc to climb. Don't bother picking up Ryze, Azir, etc. They are only made for diamond 3+. If you wish to play them to get good on them, go for it. But don't expect to climb elo with them. They fall short in the solo queue ladder.

Game Design did say they were going to try to fix it. My expectations are low. My hope is high. Realism says that I am about to be crushed.
