Anyone else see garen as a big problem in lower elos like silver/gold he seems to one shot everything at level 2 and you just can't do anything about it even if you have cc he seems to just not take damage who else agrees?
he's too strong at higher elo too. but god damn i could only imagine him being a monster in silver and below
Now y’all might hate me cause I main garen (M7 with 70,000 points lol), but honestly these changes were a good step in the right direction. Maybe if they lowered his e damage that would be better but still keep the conq stacking on his e.
If you have trouble against him I would recommend teams that have high CC, high max health damage, a really good peel support (like Janna) or you just get your other teammates ahead and hope that garen can’t get near you. In my opinion, teemo, Quinn, vayne, Lucian and other ranged champs with lots of self peel are good against garen. Garen is strong yes, but if you guys play smart you can easily defeat him.
The thing y’all need to remember is that Garen is a juggernaut, he has a hard time getting to his targets, but once he reaches them he will most likely kill them. He has no dashes other than flash and a small MS boost on his Q (and btw you can slow him after he uses his Q to basically cancel the ms boost) so kiting him is actually much easier than all of the other juggernauts. If you really want to annoy the garen you are playing against, pick Ashe bot and don’t feed. By going the BORK build you deal a lot of damage with autos and your Q, and the BorK active is very useful to further kite him. I also had a lot of fun kiting a Garen with Jhin, getting a lot of crit and AS lets you kite garen easily, or you can go lethality (yommus —> Duskblade —> LDR —> IE and crit) and deal a SHIT TON of damage while also kiting him.
There's an easy solution then, don't be low elo. Be high elo. Problem solved.
low elo is not relevant to balance. if you can not beat him, learn how to or ban him.
