Riot changing champion kit direction?

Main questions:

These questions are more for Riot but anyone giving their opinion I would gladly see what you have to say! :D

  1. Are the recent more skill oriented champions something that is just filling in some gameplay holes they wanted filled or are they going to continue with the more "Skill" based champion path?

  2. If they do keep releasing more skill oriented champions do you think that changing the "Oldie" champions to fit in with them would follow? Not as much balance but kit wise?

Azir,Braum,Gnar,Kalista,Rek'Sai,Vel'Koz Are all new champions and would all mostly be considered taking high skill or atleast more than the older champions.

Alright so it appears with the direction Riot is going, the champions are going to continue to be more skill oriented and I personally am so insanely hyped with the direction its heading! Though I do wonder what their reasoning for doing this is, I personally think champions with higher skill cap and higher skill required kits are much more fun to play as well as play against(As I think everyone else would agree). Do you think they are just adding some more skill champions into the mix or do you think its the plan for the future? It would make sense as I think people just enjoy them more and make for a better experience and all of the more just "annoying" champions seem to be the oldies. Thanks for reading and let me know your opinion I am very curious!

There is also a Reddit post I made on the Topic :) http://www.reddit.com/r/leagueoflegends/comments/2wv6ze/hey_rleagueoflegends_riot_changing_champion_kit/

Rek'sai so difficult Kappa Much skill Kappa

If I look at the last year of champion releases, I think there are some pretty clear trends:

  1. Mobility. More specifically, contextual mobility. Yasuo hops around only when there are groups of enemies. Kalista hops around only when she can auto. Rek'sai builds a network of tunnels that declare where she can hop around. Braum hops to allies. Azir is sort of a mobile Zyra, where he hops to his plants, but his plants can also hop. Lucian is the last champion to get a "dash to point" sort of skill with no strings attached, and that was 18 months ago.
  2. High skill cap. The last "easy" champion made is probably Aatrox, and he's not even that easy. The last four champions released are among the hardest to get to work in League history.
  3. Niche design. The last generalist champ released was Lucian, and even he got reworked to be (still pretty generalist) more of a short ranged mobility specialist. Riot seems to be pushing a "this capability is why you want to pick champion X over champion Y" sort of line of thinking. No more Irelia, Lee Sin, Thresh sorts of designs.

I disagree. Rek'sai is one of the easiest champions out there. ESPECIALLY for ganking. You f***ed up your positioning, and you need to be bot but you went top? K just hit R, you're there no worries. I am not being salty, Rek'sai is by far my favorite and most played champion. But she is indeed easy. So is Braum.

I would agree that Azir is one of the most skillful champions in the game, as well as Gnar and Kalista requiring a good amount of skill. Not so much Vel'Koz, but that's only due to the fact that I've only played him a handful of times and normally do very well and hit most of my abilities.

I don't think there's a skill level pattern going on.

I'm aware. I don't believe skillshots make a champion difficult or not, though.
