Curses - Weird Things That Affect Your Games

So, my friends and I have what we've dubbed 'The Plat Curse'. Basically, any time we have a game where someone has a plat border from last season, invariably they perform absolutely horrendously. Note that I'm not saying that I or any of my friends are 100% super professional and perfect in our plays, but still you can see when someone's just doing a god awful job.

And it doesn't matter what position. We've had plat Tops, Mids, Bots, Jungles, and Supports. Ever since the new season started, it's been like this. We had one Plat Top who blind picked a Teemo top, fed two kills, then just left at 15 minutes in. It doesn't matter if we do well or not; they do horribly and we almost always end up losing as a result.

So I was wondering what other sorts of curses and bad luck deals that players have that seems to affect their gameplay.

because plat is somewhat of a boosted-ville. Players who wanted to get that shiny high elo border would pay out the arse to get themselves boosted by masters and diamond players to plat to get the end of the season border. So basically plat atm is alot of boosted people or diamond and higher people still getting back to their previous rank after the reset.
