Thank you Riot - I think the juggernauts were a good start

Please reserve negative feedback until you read the whole post.

Darius was released overtuned and overbearing in lane.

Rather than drop the nerf-hammer, Riot has shown some restraint and not go through the usual cycle of too-strong-nerf-gutted-buffs-too-strong. Think for a moment how often we go through this cycle with every champion release. Far more champions are released broken or worthless than premiere in a balanced state. Thank you Riot for learning from past mistakes.

Riot will continue to monitor them. As they've said, their ban-rate is so high that they can't get accurate data on how well the last nerfs brought them in line. When the dust settles, I am sure they will make necessary changes.

Darius Garen are too strong.

Well, they needed buffs in certain areas. They weren't viable in most situations. Garen has always been my go-to pick top lane. However, he was mediocre in almost any matchup or teamcomp. He usually didn't scale fast enough to win games early and his late game was non-existant. The only exceptions to this were the matchups where Garen's kit became oppressive such as against Nasus . These matchups were reduced to the other trying to simply survive the laning phase, which frustrated many players. People complained about his kit before the rework. Becoming a villian by killing Garen was dumb, and I'm glad it got removed. Garen is in a much better spot now than he was before the rework. He is more viable late game and less oppressive early.

But Darius GarenMordekaiser were fine before the rework. They were fun to play.

They weren't viable. There were few lanes they could win, and fewer teamcomps that wouldn't destroy them late game. I won't speak for mordekaiser (I've never played him) but I saw very few matches where he was played and fewer that he won. Sure they were fun, but GD constantly complains about the limited number of viable champions. Riot took a chance and mixed things up a bit. I loved old Garen, but I hated sentencing my team to an autoloss at 35min. I actually felt bad for picking him and my teammates always complained I didn't pick something meta.

And one more: Darius Darius doesn't need a heal

Keep in mind they reduced his damage. I think the heal was a great idea. His team-fight has always been terrible and the only other option was turning him into a stat bag. They would have had to make him either tanky enough to survive or do such obscene amounts of damage that he didn't care. Now he is rewarded for being in the thick of it and there is actually some play around it. You can deny it by simply walking towards him. It's not a free heal. The numbers may need more tuning, but healing was a much better solution than just adding "moar damages" to his numbers.

I think once they reduce his heal by a couple percent he'll be in a good spot.

he DOES need a heal, he had 42% winrate when his heal with too weak removing it would make him 30% winrate
