Do i really need to explain? No i don't...

It's annoying, mute is not enough. They will go on through ping. It's annoying, unnerving and unproductive. ** UPDATE: People, People, People, Assumption is the mother of all F@ck-ups. (many ASSUME, im asking to block ALL pings, or put it on a label called communication and ASSUME i throw it out of the window. THINK BEFORE YOU WRTE & POST PLEASE. This Title can not be more open. Game starts

ADC: "Muting all chat and pings, don't bother talking or pinging."

Goes 2/16/5

i do understand it CAN get annoying, but if you mute a toxic person and their pings, you can no longer see what they plan to do making the match MUCH harder for you to win

One of those people who disagree, but in a thread like this I don't expect to see any upvotes

No. It blocks all communication. What's so annoying about pings? If they spam ping then after 10-15 or so they can't for the next 10-30 seconds, depending on whether they try a bunch during the wait period. Its not THAT annoying, and to mute somebody and their pings is to remove all communication and teamwork with them and that's just stupid.

You know that you can turn the ping volume to zero? Not the greatest solution, but if someone is abusing it for a particular game..

If there was just a way to create some kind of ping CD within a fixed area. I like when my teammates warn me of danger the first time, the next fifty or so not so much.

You missed option 3, no i don't agree. Pings are meant to communicate effectively with teammates. Taking that away because one fuckwhistle spammed them is asinine.

It's like setting your face on fire because you have an acne problem.

I have found out they do stop making sounds after spamming them enough.

WhiteTieNeko1/30/2016, 5:59:55 PM1 votes

No communication means defeat, so muting the pings would be suicide, you can disable the sound of the pings in the options instead.

I'm a fan of the idea so long as it's implemented the right way. Making it so that you either see everyone's pings or nobody's pings doesn't sound right.

I like the idea of muting someone taking away all of their communication abilities. If someone has proven that their communication won't be helpful (either via chat or pings), then muting their pings and chat at the same time works towards the common goal of removing a problem from your team.

unnerving does not fit in context, but the rule of threes overpowered your thought process you probably spent at least a quarter of a minute trying to figure out what word to stick in between 'annoying' and 'unproductive' the thesis sentence structure has hijacked your brain there is no escape

I'd like it. No one who was intending to play well to win and not troll would randomly mute everyones pings. What ping mute IS needed for is when someone rages and click spams ping on the map 50000 times.

ADepressedLeona1/30/2016, 11:07:43 AM1 votes

Can we also mute emotes?

I played against a Nunu support one game where ALL he did ALL game was spam laugh, it was insanely annoying to listen to.

Block pings with a certain person, or limit the amount of pings in a certain amount of time. I feel like having the ability to ping 6 times in 4 seconds is a bit out of control.
