How to fix Elo Hell

Just throwing my thoughts out there. Elo hell definitely exists and all its doing is adding stress to an already stressful game mode. Everyone has good games and bad games and I think that a players consistency should work to their advantage. I have played roughly 50 or so games in Bronze 3 attempting to move up to Bronze 2 (Very rough average im not sure of the exact number) and have been successful in keeping my LP somewhere around 75 to high 90's but no matter how many games i seem to play i cant win enough games to reach 100 LP and win my series. I understand that LP was designed to group players into similar skill levels. Im curious what people think of an idea I had that only applies to lower ranks like Bronze and possibly Silver. What if Riot adjusted things so that if a player can maintain a high enough LP in their rank that they eventually just move up in rank. So say youre in Bronze 4 and over the course of the last 15 ranked games your LP hasnt dropped below 75 you simply advance to Bronze 3. Now i know that poses a certain problem if a player just happens to have a lucky streak where they were able to do that and moves up to a rank that doesnt match their skill level, but at the same time if thats above their skill level they will simply get demoted again after falling below 0 LP. I think in low ranks where players theoretically give up quicker or feed/afk it will help the players who avoid doing that. Now of course its not a flawless system, but what system is? At the same time it will encourage players to try their best knowing that if they have a bad game here and there but play at a consistent rate they can still move up in ranks. Its just a thought that crossed my mind that seemed like it could be turned into a good idea. Honestly im going a little insane trying to reach that glorious Bronze 2 that i just cant seem to get.

Side note: I have never been demoted to Bronze 4. I have simply played all of my ranked games in Bronze 3 but been unsuccessful in attaining Bronze 2 so im not just looking for a quick and easy way out. Ive trekked through many games and put in easily over 40 hours in Bronze 3. I kinda think at that point there should be some sort of "reward" at least for effort.

tl;dr A system where consistency in a rank offers the chance to move up without necessarily hitting 100 LP and winning series.

edit: I guess people are getting the wrong message here. Im not trying to blame players or act like im some god stuck in a place i shouldnt be. What the post is supposed to be about is an idea that promotes healthy growth in correlation to consistency and effort.

Honestly, ELO-Hell does not exist. You get feeders and AFKers? The enemy has the same chances to get that too.

you get out of elo hell by not sucking

you're in bronze 3 because you're bad

just how i'm in plat 3 because i'm bad-but-not-as-bad (and really can't be bothered to do ranked lately)

tl;dr git gud

There's nothing wrong with the system. If you maintain above a 50% win rate, you'll eventually move on up

The opposing team will always have a higher chance of having the feeder/afk/rager/whatever, on their team compared to your team if you yourself are never that person (not gonna happen).

Ello hell is real if you play sejuani and get bounded by kalista notice your team is feeding but the enemy team isnt building tanky so theyll still melt

Theres a 5v5 and you and kalista manage to dubble stun the entire enemy team like 4times in a game

Yet everyone is there but no one folows up

this kind of makes you feel like you may just be in elo hell

Feeders or AFK's don't effect me, unless theirs a smurph. I usually win the game, even if I'm the support. S2 is just littered with so many smurphs. Theres like 3 of them in every game.

Elo hell is the point where you are not skilled enough to climb on your own, but are skilled enough to still be competitive with those higher rank than you. Because of that, where "Elo hell" is varies individual to individual. You say it's Bronze 3/4, others will say Plat 1.

To me, it sounds like you've already identified where you need work. It's not your laning phase, but the rest of the game. Knowing when to pressure different objectives, rotate between objectives, when to be with the team, when to be off on your own, how to ping for your teammates to join you, etc.

A friend of mine started Bronze 4 this year and is currently Silver 2, going for Gold. If you aren't climbing, and you've played enough games, then you need to change what you're doing if you want to climb.
