Tibbers pls

So I played vs an annie last game, thankfully she picked before I did so I was able to counter with Vel. Blah de blah boring lane blah de blah. Later shes chasing me with 3 stacks, obviously she could flash stun me so I have a finger on MY flash, sure enough she flashes and tibbers, I flash and... am still stunned. I still get the jump, I'm at least a teemo away from the cast, but i still take the damage and get the stun.
