Draven design appreciation thread

since it's Draven free week and we all get to see lots of new Dravens feed, let's take time to appreciate his design for a second

Draven is a constant reminder that insane difficulty and limitless skillcap can come from very straightforward kits

his Q is of course the main source of Draven's depth, and yet it's actual function is relatively simple. New Dravens will struggle to maintain a single axe, but experienced Dravens can juggle two or even three, and it's possible to get up to five at a time if the Draven has absolutely perfect mechanics

the rest of his kit are similar abilities - simple with a lot of room for mastery. His W is a spammable steroid that makes Draven have intensive mana management. His E is a versatile CC that can be used offensive or defensively, but requires good timing either way. And his ultimate adds extra dimensions to classic ezreal ult snipes, allowing him to nearly instantly double the damage of his ult if he can recast it at the right location, and allowing him to potentially make his ult reverse direction multiple times with the use of recall and/or TP.

And his passive. His passive is great. It increases his difficulty and skillcap not by giving him more tools to work with, but by simply encouraging more daring, aggressive playstyles. Its so fitting to his character, and while it does make him particularly feast-or-famine, Draven is the one champion who almost always feels like he deserves to feast.

Here's to Draven, the champion who has probably the highest skillcap in the game, without having an overloaded kit.

Oh, and I guess I forgot this: Draaaaven
