Loss of LP due to afk duo remake

so i just played a ranked game and my duo forgot to trade so he decided to just not connect and let us remake but i still lost LP. Can someone explain to my why i lost LP. was it because hes my duo and he afked?

Yes, if you're duo, trio, or any thing above that leaves the game, you will lose lp because of it
