Riot, I want to propose something for Ekko
Just saying, I'm not someone who played a lot of Ekko (since I'm a support main) but I've played with and against him a lot.
This is something that I brought a few times on topics about Ekko and I want to everyone's opinions on this.
So right now, the triny build seems to be the best option for Ekko right now (or sometimes Tankko if you need a tank). What I've hear is that ap Ekko is shit not because of lack of dmg but because surviability. I can be wrong but is surviability not like the most important thing for a utility assasin-skirmisher or whatever Riot called his role (I can't really remember honestly)?
I think the really big issue of Ekko is his ult. Yes, it does dmg but the problem is that right now, most Ekko use it for repositionning, not always for damage. It has become more like a Leblanc's w on a very big cd with a big explosion and heal.
So today, I want to share a little idea. Do you remember Ekko's trailer? You know, where he fights an character from Zaunt. Well, I propose that Riot, changes his current ult for how Ekko uses his machine in the trailer.
Actually, not exactly the same way since, let's be honest here, that would far too broken (an aoe reset button? far too op). Here's how you could change his ult:
- Keep the ''clone'' mechanic
- Make his ult on the same cd as Kassadin's ult or Kogmaw's ult
- Also add the ''cost more mana the more times you use it'' mechanic (from the 2 champs mentionned)
- Make the travel between his original location and his clone a little faster (not as fast as Leblanc's w)
- No big explosion when he arrives at his clone's location
- Add a heal when he arrives to his clone's location and make it stronger the more time he uses it
With this new ult, Ekko could reposition himself more often, have more surviability and give also more counterplay and strategy with or against him.
(You could also buff or nerfs him if you feel is wrong with him, like adding ap scalings).
I'm not sure if this is the best idea but at least, it would add to the theme of fixing your mistakes because right now, you can only fix your mistakes once every 1 or 2 minutes.
