Xayah's R>E Damage

I recently played a game against Xayah. Her and I were about even in items. I had a BF sword + long sword and she had a BF sword + Doran's blade. I was pretty surprised when she ended up bursting me at level 6 with her RE combo though. I did some calculations and was kind of shocked with how much damage it does.

In the video above, Xayah ends up hitting me with the 5 feathers from her ultimate + 1 feather she had set up.

Xayah seems to max E first, so at level 6 she has 3 points in E. Her ultimate expels 5 feathers. If she casts her ultimate and immediately uses E then you're pretty much guaranteed to take damage from all 5 of the feathers.

The total damage of the RE combo at level 6 deals 380 + (340% bonus AD) physical damage. The Xayah I was against had about 50 bonus AD at level 6, so her RE combo did 550 physical damage (before resistances). Doesn't think seem a little high for how reliable the damage is?

The damage isn't actually that reliable though. She played it well and you didn't play around it almost at all (and your malphite did nothing). The reason it worked is because you're almost barrelstuffing her and allowed all 5 of the ult feathers to hit you and hit you again on the pullback. If you're at you max auto range in minigun, you should get hit with 1, maybe 2 feathers. In rocket form you should be able to just dodge the ult outright. The damage is pretty insane for burst, but that is because getting that full burst combo isn't reliable on anything that is ranged, and requires E max so Xayah doesn't really have any poke.

She pretty much earns that damage by being immobile and having no reliable CC (yes, she has the root, but if your opponent knows how to avoid them by walking to the side, she basically has none)

she did a bunch of damage by using her ultimate, which is also her only defense capability

so overpowered

You can avoid getting hit by all the feathers if you're farther away from her. She needs to get closer to you to actually hit you with all 5.

I think its very potent, but she requires a fair amount of setup for it, and its position-dependent. Honestly I think its a pretty well designed and balanced kit.

So many feathers though.

It gets more reliable depending on how close to her you are, if you were farther out, you might have only got hit by 2 or 3 feathers there fore taken less damage.

I just love being 1 shot at level 2 by a Xayah with just a doran's blade.

Overtuned is a understatement.

Her ultimate has a delay before she actually throws the feathers, and you know what direction they're going to go when she jumps.

You also over-calculated her RE a tiny bit. The damage drop-off on subsequent feathers is additive.

100 (+100% Bonus AD) - Ult 70 (+60% Bonus AD) - Feather 1 63 (54% Bonus AD) - 2 56 (48% Bonus AD) - 3 49 (42% Bonus AD) - 4 42 (36% Bonus AD) - 5

= 380 (+340% Bonus AD)

I play a lot Jinx and it seems like Xayah is a tough matchup for her unless you apply the pressure early. Her HP scaling is also pretty good (better than Jinx's thats for sure)
