Will there ever be a shift in the lane meta?

Note that I’m only asking a question.

Why hasn’t there really been a change in the lane meta. Duo bot (support and adc) Caster or assasin mid Tank top (unless you want to counter someone who already got revealed being top)

Jungle shouldn’t change for obvious reasons. I mean why can’t we have duo mid? The minions get there the fastest and you can easily see both bushes with support items Then we could have top adc and support toplane which I’m not really liking honestly. I’m not saying it needs to change I’m just asking for a reason why or atleast to make you think.

This was tried in 8.11 and failed miserably. The only meta shift that you can ever achieve is what characters are strong, but you cant shift away a class away from a role (adc will always go bot).

Bushes would need to be altered if you want to change lanes by design, but it will prob fail since whoever sticks to normal layout will have a 2v1 bot and a 1v2 elsewhere which would then give incentive to revert back. Unless you play someone that can hold a lane 1v2

Adc will always need a support , the duo lane will exist closest to the dragon to contest it . Top lane is the longest lane so tough laners go there to survive lane. Mid lane either has high mobile champs to roam correctly or squishy casters since it's the safest lane.

Maybe duo top/mid next seasonw ith further nerfs to jungle xp.
