Nexus Siege Weapons
Riot has said that their design philosophy is to make everything in many different ways. Yet when you play Nexus Siege, 99% of the time you see
as the most common defensive item, and
as the most common offensive item.
Why do I think this is the case? Range.
Melee champions have to actually get into range to kill it and have extreme range in most areas. You can place
near spawn turret and you can still hit tier 1 towers. How is that fair? The defenders have to push all the way to your spawn platform but yet you can stay by it and still be effective?
The other items
and
are simply useless in comparison to them. One requires other towers to be nearby to add 2 extra hits to them and the other buffs nearby minions. Both have to be in somewhat of a normal AA range to be any kind of effective. Why is the only damaging weapon allowed to have pantheon
ult range?
Defensive isn't much better. Sure the slow/stun on
can be useful on some circumstances, and the unlimited flash can be useful, but they dont do damage and dont do much range wise other than a gap closer/maker.
has nearly the same range as a
but only damages units. It does about half to minions.
I suggest 1 of a few options:
- That we make
deal damage to nexus siege weapons for the lone fact of the need to get close to
to kill it puts melee champions at a massive disadvantage. - Shorten the range on the
so that it actually is accessible to melee/short range champs. - Make the other items not laughable in comparison.
