Message to all wannabe support mains

While i do buy Sight Stone (usually my first build item) having a little damage helps (especially for off meta champions) Let alone i cannot stand when the ADC especially during the beginning of the game will do nothing but complain that im not warding enough when they still have two stacks on their trinket!

If you are efficient with your trinket usage, you can avoid ganks without needing an early sightstone. not saying you don't need to get one eventually, only that it doesn't need to be rushed. If your jungler has been counterjungling, your other laners have been warding, you can track the enemy jungler's movements through prediction even if you don't have 100% vision on them.

Your enemy laners reactions can also be a telltale sign of an incoming gank. A Nami/Kog who have been playing like pussies against Thresh/Ez suddenly taking the initiative to engage is a very good indicator that something is off even if you don't actually see anything (sometimes it's a bluff but that's uncommon). And if you see the jungler elsewhere, you can get a good estimate of the time he might take to get to your lane and pull back accordingly. Lane MIAs are also suspect.

If you play around all this, you can delay your sightstone for an item that may win lane for you. You'll still have to get it later for after lane phase, but it is not a mandatory rush unless you are expecting to get camped (depending on the enemy jungle pick). It helps to play jungle yourself to know how to predict the movements of the enemy jungler.

As a sup, lemme tell you, we have can full botside jungle control and river coverage with trinket and a couple reds, (I can go into details) except VS strange gank paths (in which case, rush SS)

I'll usually get sightstone, but not first item. You want it so you can switch to sweeper and play vision / objectives. If this isn't happening in a game (stomp) I'm more likely to forgo the sightstone. If I'm highly important combatwise (our frontline, or our AP) the sightstone will come later, or not atall if I'm REALLY high value.

If we're in a situation where leaving my adc to go ward will result in them being engaged on, there's no point to get an SS until there's someone else to protect them. ("low elo adc" is on of these situations. Don't leave them alone)

Gold+ games I'll be biased towards rushing it because my team can play with the vision and my adc can survive without me-. But if your team is bad, it's a coinflip. Pointless clearing river wards and relying on your jungler -maybe- ganking if you can win the lane yourself.

If you and your ADC use trinkets + pinks you literally don't need sightstone in lane. This "Buy seightstone or u not rel support'' shit is getting annoying.

as a diamond support main saying this. always complete your support item first then get SS . now of course there are some situations where you would get the combined version either you are really behind like you like the lane and are dependent kill/assist gold now the one is if you like to deep ward for everyone on the team and roam alot.
