Weird Morde Dragon Ghost Interaction

So apparently if both teams have a Morde, the "dragon curse" can affect a currently existing ghost dragon. This led to my last game where me and the opposing Morde swapped dragons at some points.

Honestly, I thought it was hilarious but does anyone know if this was intended?
