Urgot Disscusion
Urgot is probably the least understood champion in league of legends. This is mostly due to his (Upon first glance) unappealing character design. And that his kit (Upon first glance) is overcomplicated. Urgot himself is a decent champion, and Urgot mains do fondly enjoy the extra tid bits that make playing him more interesting. But here are some suggestions about how we can adjust him, without shattering his character's personality.
Urgot's apperance is revolting, he's an abomination of Zaun hextech and humanity and the end product of Zaun and Noxus. He is bloated with preservative juices, oils, artificial organs, tubes, and wires. Fat would be a suprise to find in Urgot; his skin stretched and stitched to fit over his new form. Not to mention Stanley did not respect Viktor's design, leading to Urgot being a shadow of his final vision. But still a formidable foe able to utilise his pourpose as a mobile weapons platform to rain down death, before throwing himself into the fray. A display of terror and violence few expect and little live to remember.
Most people don't enjoy playing as ugly champions, this is easy to understand. As looking at Urgot without context mostly just inspires confusion, revulsion, or laughter. Changeing it is difficult however as him being a walking crab cyborg is quite important to his character. Perhaps changeing his physique and somewhat refineing his cybornetic implants, because he currently doesn't fit the current quality of cybernetics displayed by the lore (Namely the Ekko trailer, that's just some cyborg goon and Urgot is a Noxian champion. Now I'm not saying turn Urgot into one of those cyborg pit fighters, but that could be an option if Riot deems his original concept unsalvageable.).
Urgot's gameplay suffers from the curse of the league of legends community; they can't read ability descriptions. His abilites are very straight forward and easy to use, but applying them properly is where most people trying him out suffer. Often failing to utilise his newly buffed ult (Thanks we genuinely appreciate it Riot. Also thanks for updateing his recommended items). Or taking him down bot lane, which is a mistake as Urgot does poorly against often cc heavy supports. This is despite his being the ultimate anti-carry which is something that MUST be retained if anything of his orginal design. His character and base gameplay mechanics ARE salvageable. The only thing stopping him is communtiy stigma, and the fact he fits in a strange niche.
Urgot has alot of personality, however it doesn't seem to be the kind the community wants. And in the end it's up to Riot to choose what's best for this champion.
