So RIot, about the 8.10 patch
8.10 is going to be the smallest patch this season, as all of the marksmen changes slated for 8.11 having been rolled back. But my question for Riot is out of the very few changes that made it to the final patch, why was Sion buffed and why were the Kha'Zix nerfs scrapped??
For context, Sion is receiving changes to his E, were it has its damage reduced by 5, but in compensation for this his E now gets an additional 15% AP ratio, his armor shred lasts for 1.5 additional seconds (2.5 -> 4) and now applies to targets that are passed through.
So a nothing 5 damage nerf (not 5 damage per level, just 5 damage overall) and it gets to apply his armor shred for longer and more often, increasing his damage early but significantly helping him late. This on a champ who is already sitting at a 51% win rate, maxes E first, and generally out trades most of his lane opponents. Why buff Sion?
And for the Kha nerf, why scrap it? His bush gimmick has made him an issue since he received it, and a return to an earlier style ult would help bring him back in line. Because getting ganked when you have warded because Kha can stealth from his golems to the middle of the lane is just really fun to play against.
