Some random Taliyah issues I have noticed while playing her. If you have played her as well and have other thoughts please post them. Maybe I'm building wrong or doing something else wrong with her that could improve what I am seeing or change how she plays.
Here are the builds I have liked the most so far.

which I never get to 6 items so I have not really tested much but this is the 6th item I have wanted to try. The Zhonyas hour glass is really nice for a 3rd item because you can ult and cut the enemy team off then hour glass to keep yourself alive so your team can dive them. The morello and ludens are both very good because you need CDR to lower the worked ground CD and move speed to kite around to stay on the outsides of fights.
Alright so Ill just make a list of pros and cons I have seen while playing Taliyah.
Pros
-
Decent while ahead. If you managed to get ahead as Taliyah then you can do alright kiting around throwing rocks and she feels pretty strong.
-
Decent wave clear. Her wave clear is already pretty good and after this patch with the buff to her Q I imagine it will be much better.
-
Her ult can be super strong if used correctly. Her ult feels really good when you can use it to engage on the enemy team and cut them in half to let your team have an easy fight.
-
Her moves all feel really fun and have a good flowing feel to them. Her Q is smooth and her W is very crisp. It feels really good when W hits.
Cons
-
She feels super weak when behind. Every time I start falling behind I REALLY fall behind. Theres games where I start 2-3 on Taliyah and end 5-13. (That was literally my last game I played on her.) People just jump on you and you really can't do much about it.

She has no reliable escapes in combat. Taliyah has no escapes aside from her ult which can be stopped by damage so its very hard to escape with when you are already in trouble. This really isn't that big of a deal though because her kit is mostly built around poking so that fact she can't escape is understandable.

She has no reliable damage and the damage she does have is not that great. Taliyah has 0 forms of reliable damage. Her auto attacks are weak. And Q-W-E are all skill shots. She ends up with pretty high total damage at the end of the game but thats mostly because she is constantly taxing little bits at a time with her poke over the course of the game. Sort of like Singed. She is constantly taking a little here a little there but not really doing that much at one time. It adds up and looks good in the stats but in fights its very low damage. But because her damage is like a Lucian ult its very hard to put meaningful damage down in duels or team fights, its even harder with minion waves around.

Worked ground lasts too long. Worked ground starting off at 140 seconds is extremely high. It was reduced from 180 but 140 being the starting point is still very high. I finally learned it goes down with CDR and I have been buying as much of that as I can every game just to get the worked ground at a reasonable level. I think it would be better if worked ground did not scale with CDR but flatly went down with your level. Or something because it limits what you can do late game if you do not get 30% or more cdr. Maybe worked ground could reduce in size with levels?

Her ult does 0 damage and also does not give assists. There are times where as Taliyah I cut the enemy team in half with my ult and cause my team to pick up 3+ kills. But I get 0 assists for it because Taliyahs wall does not tag me to get assists. It just really takes away a lot of the "Yeah that ult was amazing" feel when you get nothing for a great ult. I really don't know how this could be fixed aside from maybe adding some like 10% slow in a small area around the wall as it forms or something.
Other thoughts. She really isn't good mid and it feels like a lot of the champions just poke you out because they can do damage over minion waves. Or they all in you because you have no escapes and unreliable CC.
She works a lot better top or support just because the waves come in on the curve of the map so you can clear them faster. There is also more space to avoid worked ground. I can't stress enough how terrible it feels to cast Q on worked ground. She also works better in top/bot because her passive is amazing for getting back to lane in those 2 lanes.
If anyone had any thoughts or comments please leave them I want to know what other people think about Taliyah or anything I just rambled about :)!
Edit: Also another thing I forgot to mention is I wouild love to see her passive get buffed in that you can be farther away from the wall and still get the speed boost. It feels a little close at the moment.
