I'm out of this

Well, when I leave a game I usually don’t make this "goodbye" kind of posts, but I have to make an exception to lol since this game was the game that I got most competitive, more than any other game, and hopefully Riot will see this post to improve this game. In my best days I was in the platinum league, and I think I'm a decent player, not the best, not the worse, but I usually did ok, I always saw myself as an strategist more than a highly skill player, I could always make the calls to make my team overcome even the worst escenario, even though I wasnt relevant early game. But since the last two seasons I just can’t seem to climb higher than silver, no matter how much I tried, god knows I tried my best, reading guides, watching plays, learning about everything I could learn about this game. Moreover, i just can’t find the FUN anymore in this game.

This game has become a hardcore player only game, and honestly, I think all the meta changes are ruining the game, I just can’t keep up with all the changes, when a player starts to understand its place and role, nerfs and buffs come every week or two, and all that you have learned, it’s useless now. Additionally, new champions, champions rework each champion/rework more complex than the previous one, this just make this game impossible to follow up if you are not into this game 24 hours per day, 7 days a week. I'm not complaining about change, I do believe change is necessary to maintain the game fresh, but the rate at which the changes takes place it’s just unbearable. And some changes I just do not understand, for example, what in the earth is lethality???, imagine yourselves as a new player, it is lethal right? it should do a lot of damage. Why remove armor penetration, the name is simple, it will ignore a percentage of armor, changes like this, that force you to read to understand the game.

Runes removal is another thing that I really felt was a terrible choice, runes added a really fun aspect to the pre-game strategy and gave the players the ability to "balance" the game themselves, this customization allowed the player to counter react to a counter pick: oh good they picked that champion that I always hatted, I better play defensive and farm until late game, I will pick my armor runes, or, the enemy team has a lot of tanks, I better pick my armor/magic penetration. This gave you the option to make you strengths stronger, or your weaknesses less of a punish. Now if you get counter pick, God help you! there are not enough tools to fight that. Not only that, the snowball is hard in this meta, 1 mistake you make early game, might be enough to lose you the entire game.

Finally, the matchmaking. I thing I never was a toxic player, in fact I almost did not type at all, I'm a really patient person irl, so even when I was getting flamed it did not affect me, I tried my best to keep the pings and the positive feeling in the group, it was really hard that I blamed someone for a loss, I was always saying to myself: what could I have done better to win the game? That being said, I do believe there are times that you made everything as perfect as you possible could, and still a losed game, an AFK or an intentional feeder can carry the whole team to a lose, and you know where you are going to get those players? On your promotion games. IDK if it’s just me, but every single promotion game that I had, I had AFK players or terrible teammates, literally EVERY SINGLE PROMOTION GAME, no exceptions, like WTF??!!! It was extremely hard to get those wins, but the pain was far from over, again, idk if it just me, but when I entered a new league, the first games happened the same thing, AFKs everywhere, two times I won my series having a hard time, and two times I was demoted. This might just be coincidence that I had the worse games at the promotion games and at the new league games, but always an AFK.

So, to wrap things up, I'm NOT having FUN in this game anymore, and I really wanted to share my thoughts because I really loved this game. Before you could play this game almost without knowing much but you will be learning and developing skills on the way, now it’s a game that require you to not be in the game, reading and reading, before actually being in the game or you won’t even know what happen to you. And as I can see I’m not the only one tired of this

Riot, you are doing the things wrong, I'm not a developer I cannot say what you are doing wrong, but I’m a player who loved this game, I'm a player that spent money to support you, to buy skins of my favorite champions, and as that kind of player I can tell you: I'm not having fun, I have stopped buying your products since the last 2 years because I was really not having fun. I really wish RIOT the best of luck and hopefully they will make some changes, meanwhile, I really wish the best of luck to all the players that are still having fun with this game, and the best of luck in the field of justice, summoners!
