Some ideas i have for how to make this game better.
I'll just jump right into it.
TLDR: -make it so those 3 "stats" in the stats tab determine LP gain and loss, even you win or lose the match.. basically just how much you contributed and your own individual skill should determine your LP, that way people going afk and stuff don't screw with your LP.. -have old runes, old masteries and new runes all in one to provide more diversity, customization, and keep the meta shook up.

do this by making those 3 "Stats" on the stats tab determine LP gain and loss. even if you lost the game, maybe it's because a teamate trolled or went afk or something..
Riot already showed they keep track of stats.
the three stats they show they keep track of are
Combat/combat participation Vision/map control Income/farm basically you'd have 3 chances to gain or lose LP in each game.
make it, if you get a flat C you don't gain or lose any LP, just a 0.. because in theory C is just average. if you get a C+ or above, you gain LP based on how high above a C you got. anything C- or below is a loss of LP
this would allow for net gain and net loss in each match. it also would mean players that constantly troll and don't take things seriously wouldn't climb, even if their team carried them. it would also encourage players who are serious, but just aren't very good, to get even better in specific categories, simply to climb.. obviously the curve would get harder as you got to higher elo and your stats started getting compared to players of those elos. this would also allow them to not have to do ranking each Role separately the way they plan on doing in S9.
and of course, it would fix frustration of losing LP because someone trolled or got autofilled or went AFK.. because losing wouldn't determine your LP. your actual skill would. and even if you get autofilled, you can still climb assuming you have good core mechanics.
- create more customization:
do this by bringing back old Runes and Masteries, but keep new Runes also-

First , lets rename old runes to "Sigils". for the sake of this discussion we will call the old runes "Sigils", and new runes "Runes"

Make All of it free. Don't charge BE for Sigils, Runes, or Masteries. Make all Sigils and Sigil pages available for players of any level. allow them to unlock Masteries a point at a time, up to level 30, and keep Runes level locked the way they currently are.

Obviously some of the Runes are identical to Masteries (electrocute is just Thunderlord's decree. Fleet footwork is just warlord's bloodlust) so you'd have to get rid of those Runes, leave them on the Masteries, and just replace them with new options on the Runes.

Remove the stat increases from Runes (i.e. getting %AS for picking precision with sorcery).

Have 3 pages 1 for Masteries, 1 for Runes, 1 for Sigils.

assuming you optimize, you'll have

you'll have the 30 overall Mastery points with the 3 trees, that you eventually build into the keystone mastery :Ferocity :Cunning :Resolve leading into an optimized 10 options

you'll have the 30 Sigil slots :3 Quints :9 Marks :9 Seals :9 Glyphs assuming you optimize and put all of one stat into each, you'll have 4 bonus stats

you'll have the 6 Runes with the 5 keystone paths :Primary :Secondary
all of the above lead into 20+ options.. this would create much more diversity and customization and lead into some amazing gameplay and mechanics. obviously some balancing would have to be done, but overall it's a better concept..

i think if Riot implemented these 2 ideas, or at least just the first one about the LP gain, this game would become CONSIDERABLY more fun and less aggravating.
