Dear Riot Games,
Riot Games, if any of you read this, please note that I am providing constructive criticism with respect to your ability to produce the wonderful game I know as League of Legends.
I think that patches contain way too many patching for one patch. While I agree with most players and Riot Games that it is exciting to bring some new content into the game, this should not include overly excessive frequent changes to champion stats. I can't really say much, since I've just been playing right at the end of Season 7, but the pace of the changes made in the game, especially throughout the course of Season 8, was way too much for me to handle.
Even if it's not the same champions being changed every single patch, there are still way too many changes happening.
Please, Riot Games, with all due respect since I enjoy your game very much, I think that most players who are not playing in the professional level or high- ranking elo (that would be Gold, Silver, Bronze, Iron, Unranked) are constantly adapting to the changes being made every two weeks. Although some people like me play every day, not all players do, and that makes it even more difficult for them to cope with the adjusting and tweaking that you guys do.
This will definitely reduce the amount of hate that you get, the amount of complaints that you get ("NERF BRAND!", "Lux rework?", "Ryze rework?", "Omg what is this champion, it has nothing to do with the old unreworked version"), and also reduce the need to change anything.
I think that the problem lies here, Riot Games, again with all due respect: you guys focus too much on the professional play.
Please remember that around 90% of your consumers are normal people who don't get into professional play, and want to just have fun playing some video games, or involve themselves in the ranked ladder system. It is only fair for you guys to consider the opinions of these people, use your own judgment wisely, and build from there. Of course, professional play matters too, but please remember all of the people who play and love and contribute to your game.
I won't go into much detail, and I won't complain about any mistakes (ie. Runes, Season 8, Aatrox, Zoe, etc.) because I think that complaining is honestly a waste of my time and a waste of your time to read everything.
Just one example: Galio. I'm Silver IV, which isn't worthy of any praise at all, but I play Galio and I love playing him so much. However, Riot Games, you have discouraged me from playing my favorite champion by nerfing it around 3 to 4 times in a row.
The mana cost for some of his abilities were increased. The cooldown for some of his abilities were increased. The damage for some of his abilities were decreased. His ultimate doesn't give damage reduction anymore. His dash is faster, but doesn't deal enough damage for it to be close to useful.
I'm not complaining, and I've accepted those nerfs, and I'm not telling you to buff him again. If you've nerfed him, then keep it like that; I'll adapt to it or find a new champion. What I'm trying to say is, if you keep changing a certain champion over and over again, it will get ironically repetitive and not a lot of people can enjoy that.
I admit to be less than a decently skilled player. I understand some people like SKT T1 Faker or G2 Caps can play Galio in professional matches even after those nerfs, but a lot of players like me won't be able to anymore due to either lack of motivation or inferiority to other champions.
I love your game, and I'm going to keep playing your game. I know that maybe the opinion of a single Silver IV player might not mean anything to you guys, but I just thought I'd put my thoughts into this discussion.
Please, Riot Games, I hope you will read this and take this into consideration.
Thank you very much.
