Quest Area not obvious

I've just come back to league after not playing for several years after watching the NA LCS playoffs and seeing that the game looks fun again. I played a bit of the odyssey event with a friend, and I think it's pretty good, but I somehow missed the quest for the event, so my augment slots didn't start unlocking. It's not at all obvious that you need to accept a quest. Instead of having the box at the bottom where you have to navigate and click a button, couldn't you pop up a large obvious window in the client that says "such and such quest: do this, accept?".
